Bed Polishing Operator
Location: Sterling Stonex Pvt. Ltd., Unit-1 Factory, Hyderabad
Department: Production / Finishing
Position: Bed Polishing Operator
Role Overview
The Bed Polishing Operator will be responsible for the polishing and finishing of granite and stone slabs using polishing beds and automated/manual polishing machines. The role ensures that all slabs meet Sterling Stonex’s quality standards for surface finish, thickness accuracy, and overall presentation before dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor polishing beds/machines for granite and stone slabs.
- Carry out surface finishing, grinding, and polishing as per production requirements.
- Inspect slabs for surface defects (scratches, cracks, uneven polish) and take corrective action.
- Ensure uniform gloss, shine, and thickness across all processed slabs.
- Handle polishing abrasives, resins, and chemicals safely.
- Maintain daily production logs and report machine performance.
- Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of polishing beds.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control team for slab inspection and approval.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the finishing section.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: ITI / Diploma / 10th Pass with relevant experience in stone industry.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in granite/marble polishing (preferred).
- Knowledge of polishing abrasives, diamond pads, and machine operations.
- Ability to identify quality defects in slabs.
- Basic mechanical skills for handling machines.
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in a factory environment with noise and dust (PPE provided).

Stores Supervisor
Location: Sterling Stonex Pvt. Ltd., Unit-1 Factory, Hyderabad
Department: Stores & Inventory Management
Position: Stores Supervisor
Role Overview
The Stores Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the factory stores, including receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials, consumables, tools, and finished goods. The role ensures accurate inventory management, timely availability of materials for production, and strict compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise overall functioning of the stores, including inward, storage, and outward movement of materials.
- Maintain accurate stock records (manual and ERP/system-based).
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, and storage of materials, consumables, and spare parts.
- Coordinate with the Production and Purchase departments for material requirements.
- Conduct regular stock verifications, cycle counts, and reconciliation with records.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and raise requisitions to avoid shortages.
- Supervise loading/unloading activities and ensure safe handling of materials.
- Implement and enforce 5S practices and ensure stores area cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and company policies within the stores department.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly inventory and stock movement reports to management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Graduate / Diploma in Stores & Materials Management / Supply Chain / Logistics.
- Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience in storekeeping or inventory control, preferably in manufacturing/stone industry.
- Proficiency in ERP/software for inventory management.

Excavator Operator (Quarry 2)
Location: Tekkali, Andhra Pradesh
Unit: Quarry 2 – Vizag Blue / Bahama Blue
Position: Excavator Operator (Quarry – Stone Extraction)
Role Overview
The Excavator Operator will manage heavy machinery to extract and transport stone materials at Quarry 2 (specializing in Vizag Blue and Bahama Blue). This role involves precise excavation work, strict safety compliance, machinery upkeep, and seamless coordination with the quarry team to ensure efficient and safe production.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and similar heavy equipment to dig, load, and transport stone, gravel, or mineral materials from the quarry.
- Conduct pre-operational checks — inspecting machinery, refueling, lubricating, and cleaning to ensure safe, efficient operations.
- Follow and interpret site plans or blueprints to guide excavation activities accurately.
- Monitor and maintain consistent material flow, collaborating with tipper drivers, laborers, and supervisors to meet production targets. (Common in quarry setups)
- Perform basic maintenance and promptly report mechanical issues or malfunctions.
- Adhere rigorously to site safety procedures, including wearing PPE, following hand signals, and maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
- Assist in maintaining site cleanliness and organized workflow with minimal downtime.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Vocational training or certificates in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating excavators or heavy machinery in quarrying, mining, or related environments preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment with understanding of hydraulic controls, attachments, and excavation mechanics.
- Ability to conduct equipment inspections and perform minor troubleshooting.
- Capable of reading plans or layout diagrams to ensure accurate excavation.
- Safety & Work Discipline:
- Rigorous adherence to safety protocols, including use of PPE and hand signals.
- Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and reliability.
Physical & Work Environment
- Work in outdoor, quarry settings with variable weather, dust, noise, and rugged terrain.

Reporting & Coordination
Reports to: Quarry Supervisor / Site Manager
Liaises with: Tip-per drivers, Drill crew, Maintenance team, and Safety officers to coordinate daily operations.

Granite Blocks Marker
Location: Sterling Stonex Pvt. Ltd. – Multiple Quarry’s
Department: Production & Quality Control
Position: Granite Blocks Marker
Role Overview
The Granite Blocks Marker is responsible for marking raw granite blocks after extraction and before they are sent for cutting, processing, or export. This role ensures proper identification, measurement, and marking of blocks as per customer requirements, factory specifications, and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure granite blocks accurately using measuring tapes, calipers, or laser tools.
- Mark cutting lines, defect areas, and alignment guides on raw blocks.
- Identify and highlight cracks, color variations, or quality issues in blocks.
- Number and label blocks with quarry code, block size, weight, and material name (e.g., Vizag Blue, Bahama Blue).
- Coordinate with quarry supervisors and quality control teams to ensure marking aligns with order requirements.
- Assist in classification of blocks (export quality, domestic, processing grade, reject).
- Maintain daily records of marked blocks with dimensions and details.
- Use chalk, paint, or markers for clear and visible identification.
- Ensure safe handling of tools and follow workplace safety standards.
- Support loading teams by ensuring correctly marked blocks are dispatched as per schedule.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: 10th / 12th pass (minimum).
- Experience: Prior experience in granite/quarry operations preferred, especially in block handling.
- Knowledge of block measurement, marking techniques, and defect identification.
- Basic literacy and ability to maintain records.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality awareness.
- Team player with good communication skills.
Physical & Work Environment
- Work in open quarry/factory yards with exposure to dust, noise, and weather.
- Physically fit to handle measurement and marking tasks on large blocks.

Wire Saw Machine Operator

Department: Quarry / Production (Granite Cutting)
Position: Wire Saw Machine Operator
Role Overview
The Wire Saw Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the wire saw machines used for cutting large granite blocks into slabs or smaller sizes. This role requires technical skill, precision, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure maximum yield and accurate cutting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate wire saw machines for block cutting, shaping, and sizing granite.
- Set up machine parameters (wire tension, speed, water flow) as per block type and hardness.
- Monitor cutting operations, ensuring smooth performance and minimal wastage.
- Inspect blocks before cutting, marking cutting lines as per supervisor instructions.
- Carry out routine machine checks and preventive maintenance.
- Replace and splice diamond wire ropes when worn out or damaged.
- Ensure water supply and slurry management for smooth cutting.
- Record daily production details including block numbers, sizes, and output.
- Coordinate with quarry/factory supervisors, markers, and dispatch teams.
- Follow all safety protocols and use PPE (helmets, gloves, safety shoes, goggles).
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: ITI / Diploma (Mechanical/Electrical) preferred, or 10th pass with strong technical aptitude.
- Experience: 2–5 years in operating wire saw machines for granite/marble.
- Understanding of machine mechanics, hydraulics, and diamond wire technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.
- Strong focus on precision, safety, and efficiency.
